Choosing your first electric scooter is a big decision. You want to know that it is safe, that it fits your daily routine, and that you will save money. Here are five practical reasons riders choose Rapiid EV.
1. It costs very little to run
A Rapiid EV lithium-ion battery stores about 1.4 to 1.8 units (kWh) of energy. Even with charging losses, a full charge from empty uses only about 2 units of electricity from your home meter. At ₹8 per unit, that is about ₹14 to ₹17 for 60 to 70 km.
A petrol scooter that gives 45 km per litre costs more than ₹2 per km at today’s petrol prices. A Rapiid EV costs about 25 to 30 paise per km. There is also no engine oil, no spark plug, no clutch and no air filter to replace.
2. Safe, confident braking
Every Rapiid EV model has disc brakes at the front and the rear. Disc brakes stop more predictably than drum brakes, especially with a passenger on board or on a wet road.
3. A comfortable ride on Indian roads
Hydraulic shock absorbers soak up potholes and speed breakers. Most models ride on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Tubeless tyres lose air slowly after a puncture, so you can usually ride on to a repair shop.
4. Simple to use every day

- Park (P) gear that stops the scooter from moving when you get on or off.
- Repair mode to move the scooter slowly to a service point if there is a fault.
